MARINE CLEANUP INITIATIVE, INC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed from the need to save our waterways for future generations and to improve the quality of our seafood products as well as the quality of life of our aquatic and airborne critters. Public ignorance and lackadaisical attitudes cause serious contamination and deterioration of aquatic and shoreline environments. We believe people would change their habits if they were aware of the impact of their actions.

MCii and Solaris Cybernetics have teamed up to bring this first bio-remediation robot to the Treasure Coast. The boat was the easiest part, now for the electronics and the circuitry. Installation of wind turbine, solar panels, a.i. etc. Need tech support from anyone with a background in engineering and/or electronics. Be part of the solution. Looking for a launch within the week of this exciting project

We know there is an answer, we know the time is NOW. Algal blooms are here to stay, they are the new normal for Florida. Our population has grown too much and with the comes excess nutrients that leach into our waters from all the human activity. Our temperatures are rising along with CO2 concentrations in our atmosphere. We need a new way to look at this problem. We need to turn the tide, we have to try. We are seeking funding to purchase 3 robots that hold the technology that can turn this into a recoverable resource. We are raising $25,000 to get the technology into Florida for trials on Lake Okeechobee. Be Part of the Solution. Donate Now. Help us make this happen.

1st Quarter's Moore's Creek Cleanup
Saturday, February 17th Moore's Creek 1st Quarter Cleanup
It was an awesome day in Fort Pierce with over 65 people coming together at the 10th St Linear Park to help clean litter and deritus from the banks and the waterway of lower Moore's Creek. We had 3 youth groups, Marine Cleanup Initiative's partner, Sword Outreach and Mentoring, St Lucie Christian Academy and End It! The young people rocked it! We collected more than 935# of debris from this beautifully restored Creek. Thanks to everyone who came out! Our 2nd Quarter Cleanup will be held May 19th. Same Time. Same Place.
